Chip-level optical lens and flight-controller gimbal repair at Buynow (Bainaohui), Zhengzhou

Digital SLR and mirrorless cameras, and consumer drones such as the DJI ranges, are feats of precision mechanics and advanced microelectronics. Falls from height, impacts, strong wind loads, liquid ingress or an unexpected crash often cause hardware faults: stabilisation errors in the lens assembly, jammed zoom gearing, cracked gimbal mounts, or a burnt-out RF video-transmission mainboard.

Traditional authorised service quotes are high, and customers are all too often pushed towards replacing the whole unit or buying extremely expensive lens and body assemblies.Fengniu Tech (Henan) has equipped itself with precision surgical-microscope soldering stations and optical inspection instruments, and fully applies the founding team's hands-on microsoldering, precision lens-barrel assembly and servo-motor calibration skills. We repair micro gears and flex cables inside lenses, desolder and rewind gimbal servo motors after a crash, and run jumper wires to main control chips - saving more than 50% compared with replacing complete assemblies, and bringing your precision equipment back to life!

Our professional precision repair solutions

Seized lens and flex-cable / motor repair

For jammed zoom, a cracked lens barrel or stabilisation errors. We disassemble under high magnification and replace broken internal drive flex cables, chipped micro nylon gears or ultrasonic focus motors - rescuing lenses worth thousands to tens of thousands of yuan at a fraction of the cost.

Emergency chip-level repair for crashed DJI drones

For cracked gimbal mounts, RF video-transmission chips knocked loose from the aerial camera, and burnt ESCs. We realign and bond the gimbal frame, rebuild servo motor windings, and solder electrolytic transistors on site to keep flight attitude stable and safe.

Microscope-level dust-free CMOS sensor cleaning

For stubborn dark spots and dead dust in your photos. In an industrial anti-static clean workspace we use anti-static dust-free swabs and high-purity optical cleaning fluid, touching the CMOS IR filter surface to a zero-scratch standard.

Core chip and mainboard soldering in camera bodies

For mainboards punctured by static discharge when an HDMI source was connected by force, or overheating and failure to power on. We measure resistance with a digital regulated power analyser and use BGA-level equipment to reflow the power management IC and the sensor driver image-chip module.

Fengniu Tech's three ironclad guarantees

1. No labour charge if we cannot fix it: If a device is judged beyond repair - shattered in a crash, or with gimbal motors and stabilisation control chips physically ruptured - we guarantee that you pay not a single cent in teardown labour or inspection fees.

2. Full compensation for damage: If a technical error by our engineers during microscopic teardown or BGA rework causes secondary, irreversible damage such as a burnt image sensor, we will either buy the device back in full at its pre-repair condition, or compensate you with a working second-hand unit of equivalent condition.

3. Transparent 180-day warranty: For every physical or electrical part we repair on your camera or drone, we promise a warranty of up to 180 days, with a printable electronic warranty slip and traceable in-store records, so you can rest easy.

Precision Device Repair FAQ

[Never force a lens in or out!] Lens extension and zoom are driven by extremely small precision plastic gears and flexible guide rails inside. Forcing it can easily burn out the micro motor or strip the teeth off many of the tiny gears, turning a small problem that only needed a new flex cable or a guide-rail adjustment into a full, expensive lens assembly replacement. Switch the camera off immediately, remove the battery, and bring it straight to the store so our teardown engineers can inspect it on a clean bench.

Broken gimbal motor mounts, snapped flex cables and desoldered high-power mainboard chips are the most common crash faults. Fengniu Tech runs a dedicated drone component-level laboratory: we not only replace broken physical mounts and original flex cables, but also microsolder and rewind damaged gimbal servo motors at chip level. For most crashed drones the total repair cost comes to roughly 40%-60% of what official replacement or authorised service would quote. After repair we run up to 4 hours of GPS hover, route and video-transmission checks and precise attitude-sensor calibration to ensure safe flight.

The CMOS sensor surface is covered by an ultra-thin IR filter / protective glass that is very fragile and extremely sensitive to scratches. Cotton swabs or tissue used at home easily leave scratches or fibres and can permanently ruin the sensor. Fengniu Tech is equipped with a dedicated ultra-clean, dust-free workbench and uses imported medical-grade anti-static optical swabs with high-purity volatile cleaning fluid made for precision sensors. Under a 40x surgical microscope we clean with a lossless, zero-mark micro-touch technique, and we can also micro-calibrate the focal plane of your imaging assembly on site.

A drone is an airborne craft, where even a tiny mechanical or electronic error can cause an accident. After repairing a DJI drone (for example replacing a gimbal, motor or arm) we use DJI's official calibration software in our indoor laboratory to run full precision baseline calibration of the IMU, compass, barometer and obstacle-avoidance cameras. We then have an experienced pilot carry out up to 30 minutes of GPS satellite acquisition, flight-path and video-transmission stress testing in an open outdoor area, and only hand the drone over once it fully meets safe-flight criteria.

Basic maintenance such as camera body cleaning and dust-free CMOS cleaning is done the same day, ready for collection in 1-2 hours. Repairs that need fine disassembly, alignment and calibration - a seized lens, an aperture fault, a damaged focus motor - normally take 1-3 working days. If you have an urgent shoot, contact us to ask for the express queue; subject to parts availability we will arrange for engineers to work through the night and shorten your wait as far as we can.
