A smartphone or tablet screen is a precision stack of an outer protective glass (the outer glass), a touch layer in the middle and a display panel underneath (the inner display). When a device is dropped hard, often only the outer glass cracks while the inner display still shows a picture and responds to touch.

When the inner display and touch layer are intact, we separate the layers by -190 °C liquid-nitrogen freeze separation or fine diamond-wire cutting, remove the old adhesive, re-fill with OCA optical adhesive and vacuum-bond it in a cleanroom for a finish that looks like new.

Screen Replacement and Lamination FAQ
If the surface glass is cracked but the picture is completely normal (no dark spots, lines or leakage) and touch is fully responsive, outer glass lamination is all you need. It costs only a third or even a quarter of a full assembly and keeps your original display panel. If the display is faulty (black screen, bright lines, flicker) or touch has failed, then the complete screen assembly must be replaced.
Apple pairs the screen to the phone with chip-level encryption, so a straight screen swap triggers a warning: "Unable to verify that this screen is a genuine Apple display." Using professional microsoldering, Fengniu Tech desolders the Touch IC (the touch encryption chip) from your original screen under a microscope and transplants it onto the new screen, which clears the non-genuine warning, and we use a professional programmer to restore True Tone.
Every time we fit a screen or laminate the outer glass, we fully remove the old adhesive and apply a fresh factory-spec water- and dust-resistant seal to the mid-frame, restoring as much of the original splash resistance as possible. Fengniu Tech gives you a 180-day warranty: if lifting, touch failure or bubbles appear during the warranty period through no fault of yours, we redo the work free of charge.
When we open the phone to replace the screen we remove all residual adhesive and hand-apply factory-spec water-resistant sealant. We restore everyday dust and splash resistance as far as possible, but because this is not the factory's one-piece inline sealing and a used mid-frame may be very slightly deformed, we recommend avoiding immersion in water or use in very humid places such as a sauna after the repair.
Fengniu Tech provides a 180-day warranty covering touch failure, lifting and bubbles that are not caused by the user. We should be clear, though: a screen is extremely fragile glass. Any physical breakage, dark spots, leakage or green lines caused by another knock or drop counts as accidental damage and is not covered by the free warranty.
